Joan Fenold, MFT - San Francisco Therapist Providing Consultation for Psychotherapists

Consultation for Psychotherapists

As a licensed San Francisco therapist, I offer consultation by phone or in person for licensed psychotherapists. The theoretical perspectives that most influence my work are: the Intersubjective-Relational approach; British Object Relations; Existential-Humanistic and Self Psychology. Integrated with these contemporary Western views is a psychology of awakening and psychotherapy in a spiritual context that is informed by Eastern wisdom traditions such as Buddhism, Taoism, non-dual understanding and meditation.

I am a CAMFT (California Association of Marriage & Family Therapists) Certified Consultant & Therapist and a graduate of the two-year training program in Consultation at The Psychotherapy Institute, Berkeley, CA. I have been a Clinical Supervisor and Adjunct Professor of Psychology at John F. Kennedy University, Walnut Creek, CA and served as a Clinical Supervisor at The California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS), San Francisco, CA.

Phone consultation is available for therapists who live out-of-town.
